== The Position == Wavelength is seeking a motivated Specialist Anaesthetist for a rare opportunity in Southern QLD. You will be providing high level care for patients via pre admission review, acute pain and provision of cost efficient anaesthesia services within a large hospital. Joining a team of 22 specialists, you will provide leadership to improve care and facilitate change in care processes and monitoring emerging issues. You will participate in an on-call roster, and provide your expertise via consultative services as requested from your colleagues. Additionally you will have an interest in sharing your knowledge facilitating and contributing to the supervision and training of colleagues, junior medical officers and students. The Hospital The Hospital services a growing population of 115,000 residents and operates as a level two, accredited teaching public Hospital. The facility has 320 beds and offers services such as Obstetrics, Paediatrics, Emergency and Coronary care. There are currently six operating theatres with plans for further theatres planned to be built, alongside a day surgery unit offering a wide variety of services. The Emergency department currently sees over 50,000 presentations, and 34,000 admissions annually.
