== The Position == We are currently seeking two committed Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for an exciting and challenging new role. In this position you will manage conditions in your speciality in line with clinical standards to ensure patients receive excellent health outcomes. You will have the support of the Maternity ward and a dedicated Nursing staff to manage patients effectively.  You will assist with participation in the on call roster and provide educational support to colleagues and junior medical staff. From a clinical administration perspective you will be responsible for maintaining quality patient medical records as per health service requirements.   The Hospital You will be joining the largest country health system in Australia covering an expansive two and a half million square kilometres. This 90 bed modern inpatient facility compromises of an Emergency Department; Children?s Ward; Mental Health Inpatient Unit; Surgical Unit; Day Ward; Special Care Unit; Dialysis Unit; Maternity Ward; Operating Suite and TSSU; Specialist Outpatient. This facility has recently been extensively redeveloped, ensuring that vital services are offered to the local community.   The Health Service handles as many births as the State?s major maternity hospital; as such there is a mix of presentations to keep you stimulated. == The Location == This role is based in a mining town with a huge number of community services, including sport facilities, clubs and societies which support a good work life balance.  Life in this city offers the chance to indulge in the friendly outback hospitality of the local community, whilst also enjoying heritage listed buildings and great shopping, dining and recreational facilities. With a host of education options and a thriving housing market, the opportunities are endless in this vibrant and unique WA location. == Essential Criteria == To be considered for this position you must be eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia with a fellowship or equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In addition you must also hold Colposcopic, ultrasound and laparoscopic skills.
