Based in one of Sydney’s leading Hospitals you will be working as part of a dynamic team and provide excellent, world-class mental health service. Due to growth this hospital is seeking Psychiatry Consultants to join their team.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be a clinical leader in the Intellectual Disability Team of a dynamic unit that forms part of expanding mental health service in a great part of Sydney.
Must have an Intellectual Disability Qualification – you will be involved in setting up the service.
Incorporating the main facility and six community health centres, this health service has been providing quality health care since 1933 to a community stretching north of Sydney.
The hospital, a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney, provides inpatient services including coronary and intensive care, orthopaedic, general medical, surgical, obstetric, mental health, paediatric and emergency services.

|Australia/NZ||Must hold FRANZCP or FRACMA, and be eligible for Specialist registration with AHPRA|
|UK/Ireland||Must hold MRCPsych / FRCPsych plus UK Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more|
|USA||Must hold Certificate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more.|
|Canada||Must hold Fellowship in Psychiatry or Certificate in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and have been practicing as a Consultant for 3 years or more.|
Other qualifications can of course be assessed on a case-by-case basis. For those unable to work at Consultant level, there are multiple opportunities to take advantage of at Senior Medical Officer and Registrar level.
