== The Position == Your prime responsibility will be to provide effective general paediatric services to patients; experience in any sub-speciality may be accommodated. You will join three other paediatricians to cater to a catchment population of approximately 80,000. The Unit is supported by an advanced trainee and four unaccredited HMOs and you will be expected to participate in the on-call roster.  You will have the opportunity to make full use of your considerable training and leadership skills. == The Position == can be entirely hospital based, utilising the hospitals outpatient clinics, or can be a mixture of private and public work, it?s up to you.  The Hospital The hospital is a 165 bed tertiary teaching hospital, supported by strategic alliances with the Victorian State Government, universities and other tertiary facilities in Victoria. Located in the beautiful wine belt region, the hospital provides a range of acute services including Emergency, Maternity, Intensive Care, General Medicine and Surgery, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Dialysis, Mental Health (Inpatient and community services) and a range of Ambulatory Services.  The hospital has a 10 bed paediatric unit and a 6 cot level 2 Special Care Nursery.
