The Position
Wavelength is seeking a specialist Intensivist for a rare opportunity in regional New South Wales. Working in a level four ICU, your experience in this specialty will be the key to your success as you work supported by a team inclusive of senior doctors, registrars and JMO’s. You will be providing invasive ventilation, cardiovascular support and haemofiltration alongside general care. You will work set hours with participation in an on call roster and provision of junior support. You will have a passion for leadership and the ability to work in a collegiate and multidisciplinary team as you liaise with hospital and linked tertiary facilities for the provision of outstanding care and services.

The Hospital
Servicing a catchment population of over 160,000 this hospital has 134 beds and provides a wide range of care for patients. These services include sub-acute, intensive care, paediatric, psychiatric, coronary care, oncology and dialysis. The Emergency department assists more than 33,450 patients per year, alongside 23,028 admissions.  The facility has recently been awarded $91 million for redevelopment and expansion, cementing this teaching hospital as a major referral and acute care centre.

Essential Criteria
The successful candidate will have experience as a Staff Specialist, be a fellow of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand and hold specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia
