== The Position == This opportunity is for a motivated Haematologist to provide high-quality inpatient and outpatient General Medicine and Haematology services to patients referred to, or needing the care of this diverse and innovative health service. Your duties will also include providing diagnostic bone marrow biopsy services, providing outreach or telehealth clinics as required, and overseeing the work of assigned junior medical staff. This is a genuine opportunity to make a difference and be involved in promoting clinical meetings, providing formal and informal teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate settings and assisting the conduction of research. The Hospital A major referral facility with 134 beds, this hospital annually sees 28,000 Emergency Department presentations, delivers 1,200 babies, admits 18,000 patients in total and performs 36,000 outpatient services. This is the key service provider for a region roughly a third of the size of New South Wales with a catchment population of roughly 120,000 people.  The base hospital offers services in Indigenous health, child health care, community health, coronary care, emergency, day surgery, intensive care, alcohol-drug care, maternity, mental health, anaesthetics, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, pathology, psychiatry, psychology, radiology, renal dialysis, sonography, speech pathology, surgical and women?s health.
