== The Position == We are currently working with a hospital who is seeking a General Physician with an interest in Endocrinology to join their collegiate team of specialists. You will be responsible for the provision of high quality clinical services as part of the Department of Medicine. Furthermore you will actively engage in the education of medical staff and students, Allied Health, interested Community Groups and Nursing Staff along with participation in patient safety, audit, research and service planning activities. The Hospital The appointment is based in a state-of-the-art facility which was redeveloped in late 2014 increasing the number of beds to 318. The redevelopment included a new emergency department, outpatients department, delivery suites and special care nursery, intensive care unit and coronary care unit, day surgery and operating theatre suite, inpatient surgical and medical wards, renal support services, dental, allied health and mental health facilities. It is the referral hospital for its region serving a population of around 180,000 people. Essential Requirements To be successful in applying for this position you must hold FRACP or be close to obtaining your fellowship and be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Candidates must have a demonstrable high level of clinical knowledge, proficiency and skills extending across the broad range of Medicine and sub-specialties.
