This post is based in a 300 bed public hospital that offers all acute medical services. It is a major referral facility that provides general and specialist health services to a population of about 250,000 people. The hospital has strong links with the local University, as a result the medical school is co-located on the same campus. As an accredited teaching hospital there is a strong focus on teaching and research and an opportunity to be involved with both.
