== The Position == Wavelength is seeking a specialist in the field of Anaesthetics for an exciting opportunity in regional Victoria. You will have experience at a senior level in this specialty, providing anaesthetic services to patients across a range of areas including surgical, medical, paediatrics, bariatric and obstetric procedures. You will work across a number of departments within the Hospital and subregion including the Emergency department and Critical Care Unit. You will participate in an on call roster and provide your expertise through committee participation and continuing education activities. You will have a passion for leadership as you support the clinical staff of theatres, pre-admission clinics and critical care units whilst facilitating team work and mentoring to other clinical staff involved in anaesthetic patient care. The Hospital Servicing a catchment population of over 37,000 this hospital provides a wide range of care for patients including sub-acute, intensive care and maternity services. The facility has two operating theatres and approximately 3,000 operations are carried out annually across specialties such as urology, gastroenterology, orthopaedics and general surgery. The Emergency department assists more than 7,000 patients per year, alongside 6,800 admissions.  Recent funding has been announced for the hospital and the services it provides; allowing future planning for more beds, renovations to the facility and upgrades to equipment in order to maintain its high degree of patient care and positive outcomes to this growing region. == The Location == Located in South- West Victoria, this town has a rich agricultural history.
