Boasting steady population growth and a substantial GDP this regional centre has well regarded public and private schools and two university campuses. It also has a number of sporting teams and plenty to do on the cultural side including the largest regional arts festival in Queensland. The area is also known for its outstanding natural beauty. It sits next to the ocean and is a stepping off point for the Great Barrier Reef. With a sunny subtropical climate it is no surprise that it is a rapidly growing tourist destination.
To be successful in applying for this position you must hold FRANZCR or equivalent and be eligible for registration with APHRA. This is an area of need position, therefore overseas trained doctors are encouraged to apply to have their eligibility assessed.
