== The Position == As a Senior Registrar you will participate in all activities of the Department of Anaesthesia including the administration of general and regional anaesthetic for General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Radiology, ENT, Urology and Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dental and Emergency Theatre. You will be responsible for the provision of sedation/GA for endoscopy lists and epidural services to the Labour Ward. You will also participate in Trauma Calls to the Emergency Department and be part of a Pain Service in rotation with other Anaesthetic Department staff members. You may also be rostered to a Pre-Anaesthetic Clinic and your assistance may be required in Critical Care. You will be wiling to participate in a 24-hour shift work roster and able to commence in the new medical year from February 2019. The Hospital With over 150-beds this hospital is the area?s major referral centre, serving approximately 160,000 people and it is currently undergoing exciting redevelopments to meet the needs of the surrounding population. Services are provided across many different subspecialties and within the Anaesthetics department you will be well supported, working alongside 9 Consultants, 7 Registrars and 2 JMO?s.
