The Positions
As a Resident Medical Officer, you provide high quality clinical care to patients while being well supported by senior medical staff. PGY4+ in your level of experience, you will have at least 12 months previous experience working within the specialty of your choice – Paediatrics, Emergency Medicine or Obstetrics & Gynaecology. For surgical roles, you will be considered if PGY3 or above in your level of experience. 
There is the opportunity to have the role accredited for training if you are already enrolled with the relevant college and the contract can be permanent if that is your preference.

The Hospitals
Within this District health board there are 3 hospitals in which you may be based. The first is a large, leading provider servicing a population of approximately 900,000 people, specialising in a number of services for the upper South and lower North Islands. The second has over 300 beds and meets the needs of 145,000 citizens in the region, providing expertise in surgery, medicine, mental health, maternity and geriatric to name a few. The third hospital is smaller and consists of 90-beds servicing a population of 41,000, you will benefit from a healthy and balanced lifestyle and passionate and committed team.

The Locations

Essential Criteria
You must have experience for New Zealand itself or from a country with a comparable health care system such as Australia, Ireland or the UK. If you are coming from overseas you must meet the visa requirements as well.
