As a Resident Medical Officer you will join a multi-disciplinary and driven team to provide high quality clinical care in the Emergency Department. This hospital allows doctors to work closely with Consultants and learn from their expertise, making this an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and progress your medical career. This role can commence immediately and on offer is a 12-month contract with the possibility of extending.
Operating under a unique public-private partnership with the NSW Government, this hospital consists of over 120 beds and offers services such as medical, surgical, paediatric, intensive and coronary care. Along with a 24hour Emergency Department, there is also an afterhours GP Clinic and a clinical and nursing school for a number of nearby Universities. The Emergency Department sees approximately 25,000 patients per year and has seen significant growth in the last year. You will see an interesting case mix including paediatrics, and whilst there is not a trauma centre, due to location major trauma does present on occasion.

You will hold current registration or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with experience from a country with a comparable health care system such as New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada or USA. You will have a minimum of two years postgraduate experience, including six months experience in an Emergency Department.
