This well-equipped and established private health service provider is seeking a passionate and motivated Resident Medical Officer (PGY2+ in experience level) to be part of their multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day medical care for patients under the supervision and direction of Registrars and senior medical staff. With no emergency department within the hospital it is a generalist role.
This hospital is a Tier 1 provider of hospital services to the community, especially the local veterans. The hospital is fully accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and provides a diverse range of specialties and services including surgical, general medicine and rehabilitation. There is a Day Procedure Centre, Post-natal Unit (with elective caesarean), dedicated Children’s Ward and Sleep Studies area.
This thriving regional city is home to 41,000 residents and the total catchment area has a population of roughly 120,000 people. It is a popular tourist destination given its central location only a four and a half hour’s drive from Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra. It offers a great range of attractions from bird watching at nature reserves to animal spotting at the safari park, or cycling the local tracks to canoeing or kayaking down the scenic Macquarie River.

To be successful in applying for this position you must have current general registration with AHPRA. You must be familiar with the Australian health care system and an interest in general medicine.
