== The Position == As a Registrar in Rehabilitation Medicine, this opportunity offers a 12-month training position with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine. You will be provided the opportunity to work a 6-month term on the Neurological rehab ward seeing stroke, spinal, ABI, MS and other demyelinating neurological conditions, as well as a 6-month term on the Musculoskeletal rehab ward including amputee cases, MSK/orthopaedics and liver/pancreas transplant patients. You will participate in relevant training sessions and attend various outpatient clinics. You will benefit from Consultant support and guidance working closely with an excellent team of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine Physicians, and will also be provided with research opportunities.   The Hospital You will be joining a brand-new hospital opened in 2017, incorporating the latest design and technology solutions, in a tranquil and caring environment. The new facilities include over 370 inpatient beds, more than 70 same-day beds, 11 new operating theatres, a regional cancer center, an 80-bed integrated mental health facility, a mother-and-baby unit, a helipad and parking for 1350 vehicles. The Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Unit itself has 16-beds. There are 8 Orthogeriatric beds for patients having elective joint replacement or traumatic hip fractures requiring medical management and discharge planning.
