The Opportunity
A Registrar/Principal House Officer is needed within the Division of Mental Health Alcohol & Other Drugs. You will be joining a dynamic medical team that will provide you with supervision and continual support. Come and help make a difference by providing quality clinical and non-clinical services to clients of the hospital and the health service district.
The Hospital
The Health Service District provides an integrated network of acute, mental health, aged care, community and allied health inpatient and outpatient services to the community and some services provide extended services to South West Queensland.
This progressive mental health service integrates Acute and Community Services, including Adult Mental Health Service, Child and Youth Mental Health Service, Older Persons Mental Health Service, Triage and Acute Care Team, Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team and the Acute Mental Health Unit and Extended Inpatient Service. The Extended Inpatient Service provides specialist clinical services across Acquired Brain Injury Program, Dual Disability Program, Extended Treatment and Rehabilitation Program, Intellectual Disability Program, Older Persons Program, Secure Services Program and Living Skills Services.
With its extensive and comprehensive services, ongoing commitment to service development and improvement, and outstanding education, training and research facilities, this mental health service is renowned for its high standards of service and achievements.
The Location
The location is a beautiful, colonial town with a population of 120,000. AustraliaMust hold current registration or be eligible to apply with AHPRA
NZMust be a NZ medical graduate and completed internship; or hold NZREX and have completed internship-equivalent in NZ
UK/IrelandMust be a UK/Irish medical graduate and have completed internship
Must hold PLAB 1 & 2 and have completed internship-equivalent in UK, Ireland, NZ, USA or Canada
USAMust hold USMLE 1, 2 & 3 and have completed 2 years’ residency in the US
CanadaMust hold LMCC
OtherMust have completed the AMC MCQs
