== The Position ==   The role is a general registrar position with rotations across the inpatient, outpatient, Acute Care Team, Consultant liaison, rural and Continuing Care Unit. Your primary clinical work will be provided within the local communities, with inpatient care available in collaboration with the mental health adult inpatient units and health service clinical departments.    You will be required to participate in the after-hours on call roster and you will be responsible for the supervision and training to undergraduate medical students and Interns.   Known as a friendly place to work and well supported, with a Continuum Model which they like, this is a wonderful place to join with a great culture. As it's a small team, they don't get compartmental-ism and there is plenty of training across the sub specialties available.     The Hospital   In recent years the Hospital has undergone a major redevelopment totalling in excess of $50 million. The redevelopment has delivered new beds, improved services in the rehabilitation unit, as well as a new emergency department, maternity unit and special care nursery.   Services available include intensive care, coronary care, obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, vascular surgery, 24-hour emergency medicine, pharmacy, medical imaging, pathology and comprehensive mental health services. Allied Health services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech therapy, psychology and social work.     == The Location ==   Located at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef with access to coral islands and scuba diving, this is a great place for getting close to nature and to relax, swim, snorkel or dive.
