== The Position == Wavelength is seeking a Part-Time Consultant Paediatrician to take on a new Fixed Term opportunity, located in the beautiful Midwest region of WA. You will be joining a well-established & supportive team of 2 Consultants, 1 Resident Medical Officer and other regular locums, to provide leadership in the provision of high quality medical services to children and their families. This role will include; providing training to nursing staff as requested, providing a paediatric consultancy service for primary health teams & Participate in on-call and after-hours paediatrics roster (including emergency paediatrics?). You will Demonstrable high level of communication and interpersonal skills, have a strong current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety and Health.   The Hospital This medium sized regional hospital serves an estimated population of approx. 37,400 people and is highly regarded for the quality of patient care and extensive range of services provided to the community. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 patients per year in total, and there are 6 inpatient paediatric beds and a level 2 neonatal unit with 3 cots.
