== The Position == Wavelength currently has a fantastic opportunity for  a Palliative Medicine Physician to join the expanding Regional Palliative Care Consultancy Service in Victoria. Joining a large referral centre you will provide a high level of service for patient care providing palliative care consulting services across the region. This position will be involved in the provision of this service to the expanded areas. The role will also provide outreach consultancy advice and support to generalist community-based healthcare professionals and community palliative care specialists. The Hospital  This state of the art facility is one of the largest regional hospitals in the area, boasting 289 beds and four operating theatres. A teaching hospital - closely affiliated with a number of major universities ? offering a broad range of services including elective surgery, rehabilitation services, obstetrics, mental health and aged care services. A large number of outpatient services are also provided including allied health, hospital in the home and health independence programs.  The hospital is the specialist referral and trauma centre for the region and has over 33,820 presentations to the Emergency Department each year, alongside 29,840 patient admissions.
