As a Registrar in Palliative Care, you will benefit from a 6-month funded diploma position designed for Physicians who wish to gain experience in the specialty. You will gain experience in the management of specialist palliative medicine inpatients and outpatients, hospital in-reach consultancy and working alongside a specialist community nursing team. You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care and work under the direction and guidance of the consultant in Palliative Medicine. In turn, you will provide your support and supervision for Interns and HMOs. A February 2019 start date is available.
You will be joining a brand-new hospital opened in 2017, incorporating the latest design and technology solutions, in a tranquil and caring environment. The new facilities include over 370 inpatient beds, more than 70 same-day beds, 11 new operating theatres, a regional cancer center, an 80-bed integrated mental health facility, a mother-and-baby unit, a helipad and parking for 1350 vehicles.

You will be PGY3+ in your level of experience and hold registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) or be eligible for registration with experience from a comparable health care system (NZ, UK, Ireland, Canada or USA).
