As an Obstetrics and Gynaecology registrar, you will be joining a team of 6 Staff Specialists, 5 other registrars and 3 House officers as well as GP’s with obstetric qualifications who will support you daily and assist with your development. With over 800 O&G procedures being performed annually including complex operations, you will get the chance to gain varied exposure to a range of cases. In regards to birth rate, there is currently around 1200 per year which includes a high number of high risk pregnancies.
A dedicated and motivated attitude is required as well as excellent time management and communication skills.
Servicing an immediate population of 107,000, this modern, 280-bed hospital consists of four theatres, in-house MRI and CT services, and a state-of-the-art clinical skills laboratory. The Health Service is the main referral Centre for the region.
