The Position
This is a DRANZCOG accredited role, providing the opportunity to prepare for entry to a RANZCOG accredited position. You will gain experience across a broad caseload with excellent operating exposure and a range of consultant-led clinics, including antenatal, general gynaecology and family planning clinics on a weekly basis. There will also be the opportunity to act as a surgical assistant for VMO’s operating in private practice. You will work a range of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends, and earn allowances and penalties on top of a base salary that will take into account your level of experience. 

The Hospital
You will be joining a newly opened hospital and the regional referral trauma centre for the area. It is the largest regional hospital in Victoria and delivers world-class services incorporating the latest design and technology solutions in a tranquil and caring environment. The O&G service sees approximately 1300 births per year and is a well-resourced department with Consultant support in the day as well as on-call support overnight and weekends. In the unit you will work alongside three other Unaccredited Registrars, four Senior Registrars, a GP with advanced skills in Obstetrics and four HMOs.

Essential Criteria
PGY3+ in your level of experience, you will hold current registration or be eligible for registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) with experience from the UK or Ireland.
