== The Position == A Southern Australian Health Service requires an additional O&G Staff Specialist to help support the current team of 4 Staff Specialists and 1 registrar. The O&G space currently have approximately 720 births per year but is anticipating an increase to 800-900 this year. The hospital has a level 3, 24-hour O&G service with 1:4 on-call. There is an element of Gynaecology in the role and there is the potential for a private practice component. The Hospital Patients may commence their stay at this Health Service but finish their care at one of the neighboring Hospitals with specialist medical or allied health input when required.  All hospitals in the region work collaboratively to support the and patient care needs. General medical surgical care includes: cardiology, chemotherapy, day surgery facilities, endocrinology, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, gynecology, obstetrics, palliative care facilities, same day stays.  == The Location == This hospital is located 45-60 mins from the city of Adelaide, right on the fringe of the beautiful Barossa wine region. == The Location == is extremely family friendly and the town itself is growing into a major service centre for thriving agricultural districts and has a growing population of approx. 26,000 people. There is a large variety of educational facilities available as well as varied housing options to choose from.
