== The Position == This is a fantastic opportunity for an Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar to join a well-established Women?s health service to support the existing team. Working across both specialities, you will assist with the management of patients relevant to your level of experience whilst also extending your knowledge and skill base by participating in ward rounds, journal clubs and other formal or informal teaching sessions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate reports and patient notes, carrying out investigatory procedures and assist with the supervision of admissions and discharges. You will assist the Consultants where appropriate and seek advice should it be needed. By identifying your learning needs you will discuss opportunities with management to attend appropriate training. The Hospital This modern regional hospital has over 600 beds and provides local services for a population of 360,000 and tertiary services for a region of 860,000. It is a full-service facility offering specialised medical care, and the full complement of emergency services. It is the main trauma facility for the area, and has close connections to road and air transport. The hospital has an academic division, along with a well-equipped clinical school which acts as a teaching and training centre for undergraduates and postgraduate medical and allied health science students. At least 2 years prior experience in Paediatrics is desirable.
