== The Position == We are currently seeking an Obstetrics & Gynaecology House Medical Officer for a challenging new experience starting early May 2017 through to August 2017 on a fixed term contract. Utilising your interpersonal skills you will work in a collaborative effort with the Consultants, Registrars and Midwives to ensure patients receive exceptional care and outcomes. You will be required to participate in daily ward rounds and assist in the theatre when required along with assisting with the day to day running of the labour ward, including general management and discharges.  You will also liaise with the Emergency Department to review patients transferred there. The Hospital This Tertiary teaching hospital consists of 164 beds and services a population of approximately 80,000 people. The hospital provides a range of acute services including emergency, maternity, intensive care, general medicine and surgery, medical imaging, pathology, dialysis and mental health. Further, the hospital is affiliated with various established universities for the provision of placements, training and education.   The O&G unit encompasses 4 birthing suites and 15 beds which deliver approximately 900 births per annum. The cohesive and dynamic team is supported by 4 Staff / VMO Consultants as well as registrars and midwives.   == The Location == With this role you will move to a beautiful region located on the banks of the River Murray.  Known for its mild climate, picturesque views and welcoming locals this is the perfect place to call home.
