Wavelength has a rare opportunity for an experienced FRANZCOG member to join a growing service in NSW. Offering a broad and interesting case mix, you will be joining a close knit, collegiate team in this level 4 Obstetric unit supporting over 1,000 births per year alongside a level 3 nursery and an 8 theatre operating complex. Lead by a highly experienced clinical director, you will be part of a team of five, with support from junior and senior medical officers, registrars and medical students. You will provide high quality care to inpatients within the public hospital, alongside privately referred outpatient consultations and clinics. Additionally, you will supervise and support junior medical colleagues alongside students of medicine and midwifery whilst continuing your own education, quality management and accreditation programs.
Serving a catchment population of over 178,000 this hospital is one of the largest regional referral hospitals in NSW, highly regarded for its excellence in professional development training and clinical teaching. Providing acute care services, this hospital covers a wide range of specialties including general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, Nephrology, Geriatric and Radiology care. With over 26,625 admissions, this 288 bed hospital also offers a number of outpatient clinics and services in order to better facilitate and support community meeds. The 24 hour, level 5 Emergency department has over 45,000 presentations and is also a major trauma referral centre, supporting Westpac Helicopter and retrieval services.
