Position
Wavelength is seeking an experienced General Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join a team of 4.5 FTE consultants and 6 FTE registrars on a full-time basis. This includes sharing on-call and weekend shifts and you may also be called in to help in theatre after-hours if assistance is required. The hospital delivers approximately 1,200 births per year.

The facility has recently undergone a $50 million redevelopment to provide new beds, a new emergency department, maternity unit and special care nursery. Currently the hospital services a population catchment in excess of 100,000 individuals providing care across units including Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, general surgery, Coronary care and Intensive Care. The 24-hour emergency department sees approximately 50,028 presentations annually with over 33,000 patient admissions to the hospital.

Essential Criteria
To be successful in applying for this position you must have FRANZCOG or if you are a SIMG, you must have been assessed by the College as “substantially comparable” and registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA.
