== The Position == An opportunity has become available for a n Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialist who will be primarily based in the hospital however some travel around the district to rural clinics would be provided. In this role, you will be involved in the on call roster and routine obstetrics, gynaecology and colposcopy clinics. The department has around 1400 births per year with an additional 200 in the rural area. The Hospital This modern 157 bed university teaching hospital provides secondary services to a population of 108,000, including acute medical and surgical, outpatient clinics, day procedures, 24 hour emergency department and comprehensive ancillary facilities. The Obstetric & Gynacology department has a 14 room maternity unit with 4 birthing suites, a level 2 neonatal unit with 5 cots and a dedicated women?s health service. == The Location == This cityl is the southern-most city in New Zealand's South Island and is renowned for its unhurried pace of life and strong sense of community.
