== The Position == An opportunity is available for an Obstetrics and Gynaecology Specialist who is ready to join a culturally diverse service that is surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings in New Zealand?s most temperate climate. In this role, you will be involved in teaching and training and must have the ability to make informed decisions in a high risk, rural environment. The Hospital This opportunity is based in a 110 bed well-equipped secondary hospital with modern facilities, caring for a close-knit, multicultural community of 46,000 people. The hospital offers a range of service ? Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Medicine, Pathology and Emergency, as well as allied health services. There is also established networks for clinical backup and tertiary support from the surrounding hospitals.  The department is well supported locally by comprehensive surgical services, and has a full range of diagnostic facilities on site including a new MRI scanner, CT scanner and 24 hour on-site laboratory facilities.   == The Location == The area is well known for its relaxed lifestyle and its beautiful rural and pure beach environments, it is little wonder that this is the work destination of choice for many medical professionals.
