== The Position == As an experienced Neurologist, you will join a dynamic, innovative, and friendly team that focuses on the delivery of high-quality care to the growing population. In this new role, you will help innovate and integrate neurology services across primary and secondary care, and lead service development with a key focus on Maori Health and the growing ethnic diversity in the region. Essential to this role is excellent skills in communication and education with respect to patients, their family and the community, to strengthen and empower primary and secondary multi-disciplinary services to develop an integrated model of care. The Hospital The post is based in a 349 bed secondary hospital that provides level 4-5 services including medical, surgical, paediatrics, obstetrics, gynaecology and mental health. The hospital is also a base for a range of associated clinical support services and allied health, such as rehabilitation, speech therapy, physiotherapy, stroke and cardiac support, district nursing and drug and alcohol programmes. == The Location == You will settle in New Zealand?s fifth largest city that is home to an estimated 135,000 people. Situated a 2.5 hour drive from Auckland, the city sits right on the water?s edge and is well-known for its blue skies, warm climate, sparkling harbour and relaxed lifestyle.
