The Position
This is an exciting opportunity for 2 Registrars and either a 3rd Registrar or Senior RMO to join a leading private hospital in the Medical Rehabilitation Unit, following a medical remodelling of the department. These well supported roles will see you working alongside 3+ Consultants in the unit who will provide supervision as well as excellent training and upskilling opportunities including outpatient work. Further, you will work alongside additional Consultants throughout the hospital who will review the boundaries of your clinical responsibilities as your experience grows.

On a day to day basis you will provide high quality clinical care to all patients within the 24-bed unit, working closely as a team with all nursing and allied health staff as well. You will assist with the investigation, documentation and care plans of the patients and at times you may be required to supervise and support junior staff, especially in the Registrar roles. During office hours, Registrars will also be expected to provide acute medical cover to the rest of the hospital on a rostered basis.

Working primarily office hours from Monday to Friday this role is well suited to those seeking an enticing work-life balance. If desired there may be opportunity to negotiate after hours cover as well.

The Hospital
This well-staffed private hospital consists of over 200 beds and places a strong focus on upskilling on-the-job, fostering a positive work culture. The hospital provides a range of services including maternity, medical and surgical, mental health, rehabilitation, community, home care and pathology. Following recent capital investment, the hospital is underway to receive significant refurbishment and upgrades, allowing an expansion of their specialist services including the Rehabilitation Unit.

Essential Criteria
PGY3+ in your level of experience, you will hold current registration with AHPRA or be eligible for registration via the competent authority pathway with experience from a comparable health care country such as New Zealand, the UK, Ireland, Canada or the USA.

You will be available to commence from early February 2019 onwards, making a commitment of at least 12 months.
