The Position
Wavelength is seeking a motivated Medical Oncologist Specialist for an exciting opportunity in Victoria. Joining a close knit team you will be well supported by a close knit team of allied health, specialist nursing and palliative care stuff in a specialist integrated cancer care centre. You will participate in both inpatient and outpatient services to provide the highest standards of specialist care and related clinical services to patients.  Whilst focusing on governance, you will work to enhance the existing and future service provisions from the centre and participate in outreach clinics as directed. Additionally you will have an interest in leadership as you mentor and provide education as required to colleagues and doctors in training.

The Hospital
Committed to a high level of professionalism and community engagement, $630 million has recently gone into development works of facilities ensuring patients and their families receive the most innovative care available. The largest in the state, this provider services to a catchment area of over 307 000, holding 372 beds and 11 operating theatres. Approximately 38,000 admissions are made per year for services including treatment at the integrated cancer care centre alongside Obstetric, Psychiatric and Coronary Care units. The Hospital also hosts its own child care and accommodation within the campus for ease of mind for patients and their families. The new state of the art emergency department sees over 50,000 presentations annually.

Essential Criteria
The successful candidate will be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and be registered as a specialist with AHPRA.
