With this exciting and rare opportunity, as a Maxillofacial registrar, you will join a team consisting of 3 -4 Consultants and an RMO. Utilising your previous experience within this subspecialty, you will be able to commit to a 12-month contract in which you will partake in a full-time roster including on-call shifts which are generously compensated. Duties will include providing high quality care to patients within the unit which also includes Head and Neck surgery patients. Working under Consultant supervision, you will provide care in wards, clinics, operating theatres and the Emergency department as well.
The facility is regarded as Australia’s National Critical care and Trauma Response Centre; it is a major regional health provider in the area. The main Hospital contains 345 beds and provides emergency and critical care support for air services. It has general medical, surgical, obstetric and ICU Services, servicing a population of approximately 160,000. The Hospital has a 24-hour Emergency Department with approximately 68, 000 presentations annually. Alongside Maxillofacial surgery, other surgical areas supported include ENT, Orthopaedic, General Surgery and Plastic surgery.

To be successful in applying for this position you must hold AHPRA General registration and be eligible for registration with experience from a country with a comparable health care system. You must also have at least 12 months prior Maxillofacial experience.
