== The Position == An opportunity is available for an Infectious Disease and General Medicine Specialist to join the Department of General Medicine. You will join a team that provides outpatient services, consultants on inpatients and provides clinical support to the Infection Prevention and Control Service. You will be joining 12 physicians who contribute to the general medicine intake and have the patients admitted, remain under your care. Hospital Located in a provincial city, the hospital has 350 beds and cares for a total regional population of around 168,000. It is a teaching hospital that has close ties to major New Zealand Universities. The District Health Board is currently undergoing a transformational change programme to firmly establish itself as a high performing health system, making this a very exciting time to join.
