With prior experience working within Intensive Care and at least PGY4+ in your level of experience, you will commence in this new position as 24/7 coverage is now required as the unit develops. It is a low acuity department where the work load predominately supports the Cardiac Catheter lab, general medicine and general surgery cases including post-operative bariatric patients. It is a reactionary service that provides short term care with those who need longer term care being transferred out and you will be required to put into action the care plans the specialist has determined.
With the ability to work independently, there will be day to day support of specialists as you monitor, review and observe the patients. Being a new role, there is no set roster and shifts will depend on availability so there is scope for some degree of flexibility in this regard.
Within this private hospital, your expertise will be utilised across 2 ICU beds and 4 HDU beds (short-stay). If you are currently studying this is an ideal opportunity, offering substantial down time to study, as well as an insight into private practice and networking with a range of specialists. Other benefits may include a competitive and negotiable salary, relocation assistance and a positive culture amongst the teams with an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team approach.
This riverside community is situated just a few hours’ drive from Brisbane. You will have access to pristine beaches, Botanic Gardens and national parklands of Queensland boasting native plants and wildflowers, while not missing out on any of the amenities of city life. You will have many opportunities to explore the regions colourful history, heritage listed buildings, and cultural and historical scenes. Your new home will be a welcomed visit from friends and families who wish to soak up the subtropical climate and endless sunshine.
To be considered for this role you must be PGY4+ in your level of experience and have current General registration with AHPRA or be eligible for registration with experience from a country with a comparable health care system (New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada or USA).
