== The Position == Wavelength is seeking a motivated General Surgeon for an exciting Staff Specialist opportunity in Victoria. Joining a close knit team, you will work across both the public hospital and establish yourself in private practice at the nearby hospital. Your caseload will be varied as the public facility is a designated regional trauma service with a six bed critical care unit and the nearby campus facilitating numerous low risk procedures. You will be supported by one accredited registrar alongside two unaccredited registrars and interns.  You will showcase your leadership skills through participation in the teaching program for colleagues and medical students, with university appointment potentially available for suitable applicants. The Hospital This large regional hospital has 192 inpatient beds and services a catchment population of approximately 110,000. The facility offers a broad range of services such as Dialysis, Rehabilitation, Psychiatric, Palliative and Acute Care. Additionally, a range of Allied Health services are available including Physiology and Occupational Therapy alongside Pathology and Medical Imaging being located on site.
