Wavelength is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a well-established locally owned practice located in tropical northern Queensland. You will be joining an established GP clinic and will work with an expanding team of multi-disciplinary specialists to provide a high level of care to a diverse and interesting case mix. Due to current waiting lists in the area there is a need to expand into Psychiatric services to serve the in-house GPs and other local referral networks. The room and full administration support is provided on a fee basis.
There would also be scope to assist with in-patients at the local private hospital if desired.
This is a General Psychiatry role however if you have a special interest in youths, trans-gender, and paediatric psychiatry this is a plus.
This private, locally owned practice was founded in 2013 and has grown to a diverse General Practice with variety of GP led Special Interest Clinics. The Practice has a number of specialist staff covering the areas of Sexual Health, Geriatrics, Neurology, Psychology and General Practice, alongside a full support team.
