The Practice

This mixed billing rural medical clinic is offering an excellent opportunity for a GP wishing to make a difference within a community. With a demographic of young families and elderly, this farming community sees a lot of opportunity for chronic healthcare plans and a variety of procedures. This well-developed practice will keep your day interesting and allow you to routinely practice using the full extend of your clinical skills.

 

Fully supported with a team of five GPs, Allied Health professionals, a visiting Surgeon and Telehealth services, your patients don't need to travel far to have their needs met. With three practice nurses that support with small procedures and chronic disease management, two procedure rooms and six consultation rooms, everything you need to provide high quality care is onsite.

 

Practice opening hours are 8am to 5pm Weekdays with a VMO roster for the local hospital, shared between GPs. Enjoy the support of an experienced GP team, your opportunities to increase earnings whilst maintaining a work life balance is impressive.

 

With part-time and full-time positions considered and two practice locations, these clinics can offer fantastic flexibility and earning potential!

 

The Location

This historic country town (population 2200) is in north-western New South Wales, only 45km north of Tamworth.

 

The town is internationally recognized for its paragliding and hang-gliding. Australia's only World Class air sports facility is in Mount Borah, near Tamworth (host site of the 2007 Paragliding World Championships).

 

Both a primary and secondary school are available in the town plus a catholic school.

 

The larger city of Tamworth (population 41,006) is only a 40-minute drive away where you have a wider range of schools along with an airport. Daily flights operate out of Tamworth where you can catch short flights to Brisbane as well as other capital cities and international destinations.

 

Essential Criteria

DWS exemption available.

ED experience and current ALS certificate required

 

In order to be eligible for this exciting role, International Medical Graduates are required to hold postgraduate qualifications in General Practice (i.e. FRACGP, FRNZCGP, MRCGP, MICGP or CCFP). General Practitioners who have one of the above-recognised postgraduate qualifications are eligible for reciprocal recognition with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Wavelength International will assist you with the required regulatory and immigration process.
