== The Practice == This modern and fully computerised clinic features seven spacious GP and nurse rooms and a treatment room. It provides a great workplace and exciting opportunities to improve the health of the local community.   Work with alongside a dedicated GP who has a specialty in rural general medicine, experienced practice nurses who will assist you with triaging, screening, diabetes, immunisation and minor surgery and the front office area is managed by two extremely supportive receptionists.  == The Practice == works closely with allied services including the laboratory, X-ray, pharmacist, physiotherapist as well as district nurses and Maori health organisations.   You will work two four-hour sessions per day, 8am to 5:30pm with a generous hour and a half for lunch. On call is one in six with varying times depending on weekdays and weekends. The population of the town and surrounding rural district is 8000. Approximately 65%of the population have Maori ancestry and this is reflected in the history of this beautiful area. The town has several primary and a secondary school which receives good Ministry of Education Reports. It features a lively town centre with all essential shops services and also offers a range of restaurants and cafes.  The region has a special and diverse beauty with its own beach and is also the access way to the popular beaches of Mahia Peninsula, as well as the wilderness area of Te Urewera National Park.
