The Position
An exciting opportunity has become available for a dynamic and hardworking General Medicine Registrar. Joining a major public hospital you will be responsible for assessing and managing patients, utilising your previous medical knowledge whilst progressing with you skills. You will provide high quality clinical care to both private and public inpatients and outpatients, whilst liaising with and being supported by Staff Specialists.  Your will also be responsible for the maintenance of accurate patient records and the organisation of patient discharge summaries.
As an excellent communicator you will keep patients, their relatives and the appropriate employees updated on the patient’s condition. You will also actively follow recent medical advances and continue your professional development. Relocation and travel assistance can be offered.

This 300-bed public hospital is the largest medical employer in the region. It provides a comprehensive range of acute care facilities to approximately 250,000 people which includes treating over 24,000 inpatients and over 225,000 outpatients annually. To support such a large population the hospital employs 2000 staff dedicated to providing a high quality of patient care.

Essential criteria
Along with an interest in regional and rural healthcare, to be eligible to apply you must hold either General or Limited AHPRA registration. You will have prior experience at Registrar level in the field of General Medicine.
