== The Position == As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality emergency care in line with the strategies as determined in the Clinical Services Plan. In addition, you will contribute to teaching for JMOs and students, and participate in service development activities. Other requirements for this role include involvement in continuing medical education, peer review and quality improvement. The Hospital This regional hospital has a capacity of more than 200 beds and provides medical, surgical, orthopaedic, paediatric, obstetrics and gynaecology, emergency and mental health services to a large and diverse region. The Emergency Department itself sees approximately 40,000 patients per annum, with an admission rate of 20% and a 25% paediatric case mix. You will also experience complex cases in geriatric and Aboriginal patients.
