== The Position == As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for the provision of quality emergency care services on a full-time or part-time basis. You will provide leadership to the department and multidisciplinary team. You will improve care by leading as an example, review and develop processes, and lead change. You will also facilitate in education and research activities for students and junior staff through the provision of training and supervision.   The Hospital This medium-sized 320+ bed hospital provides public services to a population of 200,000. In conjunction with the District, it provides an integrated network of acute, mental health, aged care, community and allied health inpatient and outpatient services. The Emergency Department itself sees approximately 53,000 presentations with a 24% paediatric case-load and 34% admission rate. Trauma patients are regularly received in the Department, with close links to the Life Flight team. The Emergency Department also has 10 beds in the Short Stay Unit within the Department. Alternatively, you will be registered as a Specialist in a country with a comparable care system.
