This health service is seeking an Emergency Medicine Specialist to join their dedicated and supportive team in an excellent working environment boasting a positive culture and flexibility. Offering your expertise in a busy regional trauma centre, you will be supported by excellent surgical, medical, ICU and retrieval services. You will provide high quality services, exposed to an interesting and diverse case mix. You will work 9 shifts per fortnight (3 non-clinical), work a maximum of 1 in 3 weekends and have no on-call requirement. There are opportunities for education and research and you will play a primary role in staff training and development. If you prefer the flexibility of a part-time position, this will also be considered. The role provides attractive remuneration and excellent work-life balance.
With a catchment population of approximately 80,000 this large regional hospital has 140+ beds and a modern, 24-hour Emergency Department which sees 35,000 presentations annually with an 18% admission rate and 20% paediatric case load. With a new Emergency Department, you will find yourself among a fully equipped service ready to deal with all presentations, with 24 beds and a 6-bed Short Stay Unit, 2 resus bays, a fast track bay, and electronic patients records. This department is accredited for ACEM training.

To be eligible for this role you must hold Fellowship with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or equivalent and be eligible to apply for Specialist registration.
