As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, this fantastic opportunity will allow you to join the existing enthusiastic team on a full time or part time basis. With the support of highly professional specialists, junior medical staff and nursing staff you will help provide a high level of care for all patients presenting to the department. With excellent communication skills and the ability to be a team player, you will enjoy the family orientated environment this regional trauma centre offers.
This state of the art facility is one of the largest regional hospitals in the area, boasting 289 beds and four operating theatres. As a teaching hospital it is closely affiliated with a number of major Universities and can offer a broad range of services including elective surgery, rehabilitation services, obstetrics, mental health and aged care services.
The hospital is the specialist referral and trauma centre for the region and has over 33, 820 presentations to the Emergency Department each year. With 24 points of care there is also a 12-bed short stay unit within the department.

The successful candidate will be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Emergency Medicine and be eligible for full registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. Alternatively, you will be registered as a Specialist in a country with a comparable care system.
