This is an opportunity to join an enthusiastic team in delivering high quality clinical care in emergency services. As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will be well supported with the department currently led by 11 Senior Medical Officers and accredited with ACEM for 12 months Advanced Training and Paediatric Log Book Training, seeing successful results from Part 1 and Part 2 Trainees.
You will be joining a major referral hospital with a direct catchment of 170,000 people, with a capacity of over 240 beds. This health service provides emergency services for the entire area from four locations including the major referral hospital, plus three small regional hospitals. The service sees 40,000 attendances per year with a 25% paediatric caseload. There are over 140 Consultants providing support in a wide range of specialties within this health service.

You must be a Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) or hold an equivalent Specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine and be eligible to apply for Vocational registration as an Emergency Medicine Physician in New Zealand.
