As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will require an innovative streak in order to contribute to service development amongst a high performing team of motivated professionals. You will work alongside 6 other FACEMs to build an environment of excellence, with a strong focus towards teaching and development. You will be well supported by two ED Registrars and a full tier of junior RMOs and highly experienced Registered Nurses.
A permanent 0.7FTE role is available (working 56 hours per fortnight), making this the ideal opportunity to create an enviable work-life balance. You will be joining the main health service provider for a region of nearly 145,000 people, working in one of the two main hospitals. Being a teaching hospital, you will share your knowledge and expertise with more junior staff and you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills. The Emergency Department itself sees approximately 28,000 patients per year and performs highly against the Ministry of Health ED targets.
