The Position
With this Emergency Medicine Registrar opportunity there is flexibility in the level of experience required. Working between PGY4 and PGY6 level, you will utilise your prior emergency skills and develop further whilst being supported by a Senior Emergency Medicine Physician. Your shifts will vary to cover a full roster and you will find the majority of presentations occur between the hours of 8am and 10pm.

Joining as an emerging mid-grade doctor, this role is well suited to those also considering a generalist career.

The Hospital
This urban district hospital provides acute care across general medical, surgical and specialist services. It also offers paediatric and maternity services. As for the emergency department, it is equipped with 16 beds and cares for both adult and paediatric cases. With 50-60 presentations being seen daily, the local admission rate is 8% and transfer rate at 7%.

Essential Criteria
With AHPRA General registration, you must have a minimum of 6 months previous experience in Emergency Medicine at PGY3 or registrar level. You will be able to commit to this role on an ongoing basis.
