== The Position == As an Emergency Registrar or Career Medical Officer, your duties will include patient assessment and management, coordinating patient care and participation in clinical audits and research projects. You will provide your expertise and support to junior staff and offer clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary treating team as you progress. You will provide coverage to a rotating roster, working a combination of day, evening and night shifts. Well supported by Consultants, supervision extends from 8am to midnight, seven days per week. If you are a Registrar in training, you will join a supportive culture with mentor programs and strong clinical support from Consultants. This service will also consider Trainees from other specialties, as well as experienced Emergency doctors not on a training program. The Hospitals You will be joining Victoria?s largest public health service, consisting of three Emergency sites. Approximately 200,000 presentations are seen across the four Emergency Departments per year, with a 30% paediatric case-load. The first is a Tertiary Hospital consisting of two Emergency Departments ? one Adult and one Paediatrics (seeing over 30,000 children per year). The other two hospitals have mixed, urban, general Emergency Departments. With all departments accredited for training, this service can support Trainees from Year 1 to Consultant level. == The Location == Located southwest of Melbourne, this is a fantastic opportunity to base yourself in this bustling, creative and vibrant city.
