As Emergency Medicine Registrar, this ACEM trainee role will be split across Emergency medicine and Emergency Ultrasound allowing for the development of specialist skills. You will find yourself gaining a hands on experience in a department supported by staff specialists and senior staff who will help consolidate your learning and development. In turn you will support junior staff and students as you strive to provide a high quality of clinical care to all patients.

With 230 beds, this hospital is the main referral centre for the region and services an immediate and surrounding population of roughly 250,000 people. With a newly built seven-storey ward block, this space offers an expanded critical care service, extended emergency care unit and a helipad for trauma patients. As the regional referral centre for emergency services, the facility sees an approximate 45,000 ED presentations per year and a total of 22,000 admissions. There is a great variety of clinical presentations.
