== The Position == With the chance to advance your skills and knowledge in a department that focuses on giving you exposure to procedures not just referrals, this Emergency Medicine Registrar role is for a fixed term period until the new medical year commences in February 2018. As a regional trauma centre with a serious academic program, you will gain exposure to a varied case mix and have the support of skilled and dedicated colleagues who will welcome you to the department. You will have previous emergency medicine experience and be at PGY3 level at a minimum. The Hospital As a leader in regional health care, and servicing a population of 307,000, this hospital opened its brand new doors in January 2017. Having serviced the region for more than 150 years, recent construction has been under way to replace the current facilities with state-of-the-art facilities. With 653 bed this high acuity teaching hospital provides services which include General Medicine, General Surgery, Mental Health and Obstetrics and Gynaecology to name but a few.
